Crimsafe Mesh Colour
The Crimsafe Tensile-Tuff® stainless steel mesh has a natural satin steel finish. When viewed from inside a property, the mesh appears as a semi-transparent dark charcoal due to the fine wire geometry and light absorption of the 304 or 316 stainless steel. There is no painted or powder-coated mesh in the standard Crimsafe range — the mesh colour is consistent across all Crimsafe products (Classic, Ultimate, iQ, Safe-S-Cape and fire attenuation).
From outside the property, the mesh is largely see-through in daylight, providing an unobstructed view in from the street. The frame colour is the primary visual element that affects the appearance of a Crimsafe door or screen from the street.
Matching Crimsafe to Your Adelaide Home
The most common pairings for Adelaide homes and their facade types:
- Red brick (post-war, 1950s–70s) — White or Surfmist for a fresh contrast; black for a bold contemporary update
- Sandstone (heritage inner suburbs: Norwood, Unley, College Park) — Dune or Domain to pick up the warm stone tones
- Rendered facades (modern) — Black, Woodland Grey or Domain for a clean finish against white or grey render
- Colorbond steel cladding — Match to the Colorbond colour (most standard Colorbond colours have a Crimsafe equivalent)
- Timber weatherboard (Hills suburbs) — White, Surfmist or Black depending on the existing trim colour
- Coastal (Glenelg, Henley Beach, Semaphore) — White, Surfmist or Windspray; consider Crimsafe Ultimate with 316 SS mesh for superior salt resistance
Custom Crimsafe Colours
If none of the standard colours suit your facade, Crimsafe frames can be powder-coated in custom colours on special order. Custom colours typically require a minimum order quantity and a longer lead time (3–5 additional weeks). Colour matching is available to Dulux Powder Coat, Interpon, or equivalent powder coat systems to allow close matching of existing window frames, front doors or facade elements.
Custom colour orders are available through Stan Bond SA for Adelaide properties. Discuss custom colour requirements at your free measure and quote — we can advise on feasibility, lead times and minimum order quantities.

Frequently Asked Questions — Crimsafe Colours Adelaide
What is the most popular Crimsafe colour in Adelaide?
Black is the most requested Crimsafe colour across inner Adelaide suburbs, particularly for contemporary, Hamptons and renovated heritage properties. White remains popular for Federation and post-war brick homes.
Can I get Crimsafe in a colour to match my window frames?
In most cases, yes. If your window frames are a standard Colorbond or powder-coat colour, there is likely a Crimsafe colour equivalent. If not, custom powder coat matching is available on special order. Bring a colour swatch or paint chip to your measure and quote appointment and Stan Bond SA will advise on the closest available match.
Does Crimsafe come in a charcoal or Ironstone colour?
Yes. Domain is the closest standard Crimsafe colour to Colorbond® Ironstone and similar dark charcoal-brown tones. Woodland Grey is a mid-grey option for lighter charcoal facades.
Can I see Crimsafe colour samples before ordering?
Yes. Stan Bond SA carries physical colour samples at our Campbelltown showroom. You can also request samples to be brought to your free in-home measure and quote. Viewing samples against your facade in natural light is the best way to choose the right colour.
